Introduction to Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT), CERF and Reading Skills for CEPT

The Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT) is a fast, accurate and affordable online test designed to evaluate learners' level of English and relate it to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) Pre A1 -C2. It is developed by the Cambridge English Language Assessment SCOPE is the brainchild of the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Hon. Shri Narendra Modi. In 2007, SCOPE was established with the aim to increase English language proficiency among the youth of Gujarat in order to gain better employment opportunities. SCOPE in collaboration with the internationally renowned Cambridge University conducts examinations namely, Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT) and Linguaskill English and since inception, more than 6 lacs beneficiaries have received certificates for the same which has been useful to them in their career. Apart from conducting Cambridge examinations, SCOPE organizes various competitions, workshops, webinars, seminars, etc. with the motive of promoting the English language as well as the development of language skills so that the youth lag in the English language and create better employment opportunities.
